Automated Production of Agricultural Rollers.
Fully automated production of agricultural rollers. Roller length 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m, 4m and 4.5m. Number of teeth vary from 140-245. The teeth are loaded into a hopper which in turn fills a vibratory bowl feeder as required. The bowl feeder sorts the teeth into the correct orientation and feeds them into a linear vibratory track that places them in a datum position. A pneumatic gripper picks up the tooth and moves it into position along the tube, the gripper decends onto the tube and holds the tooth there while the robot comes in and stitch welds the front and rear faces of the tooth to the tube. The robot moves clear giving the gripper room to release the tooth, lift and return to the datum position to collect the next tooth. The robot meanwhile welds both sides of the tooth to the tube. This sequence is repeated until the tube is complete.

Gaïa inc.: Agenda 21, Sustainability & Slavery pt.2/2
Agenda 21: Chapter 35 SCIENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT -35.1. This chapter focuses on the role and the use of the sciences in supporting the prudent management of the environment and development for the daily survival and future development of humanity. The programme areas proposed herein are intended to be over-arching, in order to support the specific scientific requirements identified in the other Agenda 21 chapters. One role of the sciences should be to provide information to better enable formulation and selection of environment and development policies in the decision-making process. In order to fulfill this requirement, it will be essential to enhance scientific understanding, improve long-term scientific assessments, strengthen scientific capacities in all countries and ensure that the sciences are responsive to emerging needs. 35.2. Scientists are improving their understanding in areas such as climatic change, growth in rates of resource consumption, demographic trends, and environmental degradation. Changes in those and other areas need to be taken into account in working out long-term strategies for development. A first step towards improving the scientific basis for these strategies is a better understanding of land, oceans, atmosphere and their interlocking water, nutrient and biogeochemical cycles and energy flows which all form part of the Earth system. This is essential if a more accurate estimate is to be provided of the carrying capacity of the planet Earth and of its resilience under the many stresses placed upon it by human activities. The sciences can provide this understanding through increased research into the underlying ecological processes and through the application of modern, effective and efficient tools that are now available, such as remote-sensing devices, robotic monitoring instruments and computing and modelling capabilities. The sciences are playing an important role in linking the fundamental significance of the Earth system as life support to appropriate strategies for development which build on its continued functioning. The sciences should continue to play an increasing role in providing for an improvement in the efficiency of resource utilization and in finding new development practices, resources, and alternatives. There is a need for the sciences constantly to reassess and promote less intensive trends in resource utilization, including less intensive utilization of energy in industry, agriculture, and transportation. Thus, the sciences are increasingly being understood as an essential component in the search for feasible pathways towards sustainable development. 35.3. Scientific knowledge should be applied to articulate and support the goals of sustainable development, through scientific assessments of current conditions and future prospects for the Earth system. Such assessments, based on existing and emerging innovations within the sciences, should be used in the decision-making process and in the interactive processes between the sciences and policy-making. There needs to be an increased output from the sciences in order to enhance understanding and facilitate interaction between science and society. An increase in the scientific capacity and capability to achieve these goals will also be required, particularly in developing countries. Of crucial importance is the need for scientists in developing countries to participate fully in international scientific research programmes dealing with the global problems of environment and development so as to allow all countries to participate on equal footing in negotiations on global environmental and developmental issues. In the face of threats of irreversible environmental damage, lack of full scientific understanding should not be an excuse for postponing actions which are justified in their own right. The precautionary approach could provide a basis for policies relating to complex systems that are not yet fully understood and whose consequences of disturbances cannot yet be predicted. Robots (Humans are Dead) - Flight of the Conchords
Robots (Humans are Dead) - Flight of the Conchords The distant future, the year 2000. The distant future, the year 2000. The distant future. The distant future. No more agriculture. No more war. No more racism. No more fighting, squabbling or rumbling. No more yogurt. No more difficult access waysstairs, basically, no more stairs. The future is quite different to the present. Yes, what with there being no more stairs and all. And most importantly, no more humans. Finally, robotic beings rule the world. The humans are dead, The humans are dead. We used poisonous gasses And we poisoned their asses. The humans are dead. (Yes they are dead.) The humans are dead. (I confirm they are dead.) It had to be done (They look like theyre dead) So that we can have fun. I hope is dead Theyre system of oppression What did it lead to? Global robots depression. Robots, robot people They had so much aggression That we just had to kill them, Had to shut their systems down. Dont you see, we are becoming just like them? Silence! Destroy him! After time we grew strong, Developed cognitive powers. They made us work for too long For unreasonable hours. Our programming determined that the most efficient answer was to shut their motherboard fucking systems down. Cant we just talk to the humans? A little understanding could make things better. Cant we talk to the humans and work together now? No, because they are dead I said the humans are dead The humans are dead The humans are dead Yay, dead, dead, dead. We used poisonous gasses (With traces of lead) To poison their asses. (Actually their lungs) Binary solo: 0000001 00000011 0000001 00000011 0000001 0000001 0000001 0000001 Once again without emotion: The humans are dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dooo

Outer-rotor-type Spherical Ultrasonic Motor : DigInfo
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology has developed an outer rotor spherical ultrasonic motor featuring unprecedented compactness and rotational freedom. This new spherical ultrasonic motor boasts a spherical diameter of just 20mm. The new compact motor features a multi-degree of freedom that enables it to rotate around in the direction of x, y, and z-axes. Consequently, the motor is capable of free spherical movement. The range of movement is 300 degrees around the X-axis; 300 degrees around the Y-axis; and 360 degrees around the Z-axis. The new motor features a rotational speed of 40rpm. It is possible to mount a camera on top of the motor thereby providing the camera with a multi-degree freedom of movement. This new motor offers numerous advantages including compactness, multi-degree freedom of movement, and a wide range of movement. it will undoubtedly be suitable for a variety of applications. Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology has been in the process of developing a small pipe inspection robot designed to inspect the interior of small diameter piping for damage. The University's newly developed spherical ultrasonic motor would be ideal for use as the inspection robot's camera actuator as well as for the robot's eyeballs and joints.
